Excellent and delicious meals. Very, very nice, helpful staff, stunning location not far from a 12th century fortress, with a panoramic view of half of Portugal, and the most stunning sunsets imaginable, overlooking the Alentejo on one side- and the Alentejo on one side-and the castle itself on the other.

The hotel of choice in Evora Monte. Breakfast with fresh ingredients, fresh orange juice plus an omelet. - Exceptionally comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and a refrigerator, coffee/tea making machines, and a dining area in the room. - Stunning and charming location for our visit to Pelourinho de Evora Monte, a 10-15 minute walking distance from the property.

The most peaceful guest house with breathtaking views, where I could sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The local produce made me wish for simpler times before supermarkets. The owners were lovely and even brought signed prints by Nelson Mandela.
Didn't expect to find live chickens and rabbits. Not exactly what I was looking for in a hotel experience.

The decoration at The Place At Evoramonte was simply charming, with a cottagey and cosy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The general areas, such as the shared snug area with books, games, and CDs, were a delightful addition. As a senior woman, I appreciated that the hotel was easily accessible, with comfortable chairs and clear instructions on the facilities and activities available. It made my stay all the more enjoyable.
I wish there were more activities specifically catered towards senior guests.
